Single Mom

Yes, school has started again, so I am a single mom on Wednesday nights. Luckily, it is only one night a week. That's ok...I don't really want to share Casey anyway. She really only wants to play with her toys and watch Spongebob...

p.s. - Prayers to the Kelly family and baby Iris.

Happy Day!!

While I was out posting more signs, a high school girl came out of her house and said they had our dog. She was out in the middle of the street...this is typical of Dixie. After many many tears, I am glad to say we have our dog back!

p.s. The time stamps are really weird on blogger!

Heartbroken...

Our dog, Dixie, escaped from the backyard about 3pm today. We drove the streets for a while, with the help of my sister and brother-in-law. Andy is out hanging posters (on my pastel scrapbook paper). She is just so cute and friendly, I hope that if she is not returned, that someone will love her and treat her humanely.

We tried...

Casey and I tried to visit baby Iris today at the NICU. We brought her a little doll. Unfortunately, we didn't call and find out the rules first...Casey is younger than 24 months. I will try again another time.

If you are reading this blog, I need "all hands on deck" to pray for my co-worker Stacey and her husband and 2 precious baby girls.

Do you want Rice and Beans with That?

On the menu tonight...The Casey Burrito Special! HA HA! Hope you are all having a great week!
p.s. - Johanna...I bet your girls are way bigger than Casey! Give them a kiss for me!

Casey's 1st Birthday

Alright, so I didn't take not one picture so I had to swipe these pictures from Facebook! My mom took about 100 pictures, so I will have to get them from her. I am sure I will bug Alyssa, Meredith, Becca and Susan for pictures when I am off my scrapbooking strike!
We had a great party. Lot's of family and plenty of babies. I am exhausted! It is almost 11am and I am considering a nap.

Pop Rocks and Bubble Wrap - Seriously

So, you heard me right...pop rocks and bubble wrap. My husband and I live in Harris County but are technically not in the city of Houston. Why is this important? If you are lucky enough, like our little 10 block neighborhood, you can pop fireworks...legally. Seriously...it sounds like you are eating pop rocks and popping bubble wrap. Our whole living room is lit up and if you walk outside, you can see fireworks in every direction you look...only because it is legal, people will go nuts all night long.
The picture is of our little angel...Happy New Year Miss Casey! She will be 1 year old in 2 days! SOOO nuts! We went to our Cousin Robert and Karen's house this evening...it was so weird to think that this time last year I was ready to pop, had my bags packed for my induction date and was ready to go be a mom. It went by so fast!
Happy New Year everyone!
p.s. - Pink gets a little old, so I just couldn't pass up the Carter's ducks pajamas...and they have ducks on the feet too! Even cuter...she is snoring through the fireworks! We will be lucky if they stop by 3am! It is still exciting to live in the big fat middle of a fireworks display.
