Casey and Daddy

Andy babysat Friday and Saturday night and it went well! Well, good enough. He gave her a bath both nights and put her to bed at her bedtime. I know that this may sound shocking that I have an almost 4 month old and that this is something that he should already be doing. He is normally in class 3 nights a week and then also refs a lot of lacrosse at night. He will catch up on his bath time with Casey now that lacrosse is over.

Two pics of Casey and Andy...one where she is sleepy and snuggling with him and one where she is mad (who knows what about).

All done up in her dress and a new video!

I put Casey on the scale tonight and, she is 11 pounds and 2 ounces! YAY! I also recorded this video tonight when I was about to change her diaper. Here is Casey stuck in the couch in her dress. Such a cutie pie!

Andy's Birthday

Andy's Birthday was yesterday. He is 33 years old. When he was sleeping, Casey and I went out to buy him dough nuts (we have NO food in the house). She smiled at an old man in line, she smiled at an attractive 30 something white man in line, but CRIED at the two old ladies (all done up for church with big silver hair and bright red lipstick). I guess this is why she cries at my grandmas! The kid better learn to like old ladies...my grammy (her great grammy) rocks!

The night before, I had his brother-in-law go get him a basketball goal. He seemed kind of thrilled. Sure enough, his brother-in-law and nephew were over playing basketball last night for almost 3 hours. I think he liked the gift.

Last night we all met for dinner at Prince's hamburgers. Casey cried a little and then passed out. She napped for a little while and then woke up semi-friendly, as long as I was holding her.

Oh, I am posting a picture today of her in a dress...the man at the dough nut shop thought she was a cute little boy ( did I mention she was in all purple with ruffle socks?) so, I went to Babies R Us and bought her two dresses.

Day Care and the Dog

Yesterday, I decided to go look at one of the day cares in clear lake, just in case Sharon sells her house. WOW! This place was amazing! It smelled nice, no kids screaming in cribs, there were kids singing along with a lady playing guitar, and everything was so clean. There were TV monitors at the front showing every room, AND you can log in once your baby goes there and watch your kid at work! The price...well, much higher. It would be a huge struggle, but totally worth it knowing you can leave your child and feel safe. Did I mention the doors are locked and they have to "buzz" you in? Yes...no stealing babies at this place!

I was sleeping like a rock (about 30 minutes ago at 520am) and Dixie decides she REALLY needs to go. It is pouring rain, poor thing! So, I dump her outside and then dry her off...now I am awake. Casey is still sleeping. She went down last night around 930pm (late for her) and slept until 3am...not bad!!!

That's really it...we are supposed to do all of this work at our Outdoor Education Center this morning. I hope the rain stops!

3 months, 1 week and 6 days!

Casey is 3 months, 1 week and 6 days old.

I really don't have much to post about...she likes to nap in her swing after she gets home from Sharon's. She seems to really like watching TV. She talks to the TV, too. Casey likes Deal or No Deal and World News with Charlie Gibson. It is funny to watch her have conversations with Charlie at night before she takes a cat nap in her swing.

At night, she tries to roll over when trying to find a comfy spot to go back to sleep. Last night, I had to keep my hand on her back to hold her down. When she rolls over, she wakes up confused. It is funny...she throws her hands up in the air and looks terrified!

Andy's birthday is Sunday. He will be 33. Old man!

That's all for now...more pictures of Casey to come!

First Post

First Post!

I got the idea from one of my friends at work to have a blog for Casey. I will try to add pictures and videos from home. The only ones I have at work are old...well, a couple of weeks.

Let's see...Casey has been great lately. She slept last night from 10pm-430am and then ate and went right back to sleep. I love picking her up in the mornings...she is so warm and cuddly!

I guess I better get back to work. I have a ton of poster boards to trace. Don't ask.

Other than that, today is my mom's birthday! TAX DAY! Happy Birthday MOM!
