Baby Steps for Baby Momma

Well, I am not super thrilled, but I gave Casey her first formula bottle today. I started to omit feeding her once a day yesterday. Yesterday I used what I had in the freezer, but today I decided it was time to give formula a try...eventually she will need it at every meal. If I want to be finished with this process before I go back to work August 18th, then I have to start somewhere. I have been putting this off for over a month...ugh.

She sucked it all down. I thought it smelled terrible, but she gulped without a second thought. I hope it doesn't upset her stomach!

I will live...

Breastfeeding/pumping is taxing, I can understand why you're starting the transition from breast to bottle. It will work out fine.

Well, I had to do all that jazz when I had to go back work when she was 6 weeks old. I am starting a new job in August and just don't think I want to deal with all of it. I am not ready to stop, but really hated all the time it wasted at work. I would love to have lunch or work or do whatever during my lunch breaks this school year!

In my mind, I seriously hoped that she would spit out the formula and cry...nope! HA HA!

I hear ya girl. I pumped 3 times a day at work from January-June so I know what a huge time commitment it is. It was a running joke that the other teachers in the building would always see me with my micro-steam sterilizer bags. One of them said "hey playtex how ya doing?" Needless to say, I'm hoping I only have to pump once a day this fall until Luke is a year old.

I know what you are going through. I was hoping to keep it up after I go back to work, but I have been thinking about it for the past few days and I'm not sure it's going to be easy to find time at work to pump and I don't want to be taking so much work home this year since I want to spend time with Carter when I get home.
