Well, I have almost made it though the first real week of school! Getting up so early has been rough! Poor baby girl gives me this look of confusion as I tote her to the car and there is no sun in sight! I know she is thinking, "But MOM...I was sleeping!!!"
Casey loves day care, but is now having problems napping at home. She won't nap in her bed at day care. She only wants to roll around and play with her feet (what I rough life). So, they let her nap in her swing 2 times a day...ugh...it looks like I am going to have to get the swing into her bedroom! Can you imagine her being 16 years old and still swining for a nap! HA HA HA!
I promise to post pictures this weekend once Andy and I can find the camera...long story.
I am so excited about the 3 day weekend!
Have a great Thursday!

Day Care and Back to Work!
Well, we made it through our first week of work and Casey's first week of day care. She generally gives a guilt-filled cry when I drop her off in the morning and then has a fabulous day. Each day this week, they have commented on what a good eater she is. Heather would be so proud...Casey is up to 7 ounces in each bottle, a stage 2 fruit at breakfast, a veggie at lunch, a stage 1 fruit at snack and then a half a jar of stage 2 dinner at night. She is quite the piggie...and finally over 14 pounds! YAY! Oh, did I mention that we haven't taken her back for her 1 month follow up? We will put that on the list for next week.
Andy will be home with Casey all day tomorrow while I am up at school. I am glad they will have it open Saturday...so much still to do! Andy has his big football draft tomorrow. I hope he gets a decent team...damned fantasy football! I actually can't wait to take Casey over to Steve's this year. Steve and Michelle gave Casey a hand-me-down Dolphins wind suit and mom gave Casey a Texans cheerleader outfit. Plus, she is big enough to play with Marshall and Lilly!!! Last time we were over, Casey slept through the entire Super Bowl!
I am actually very excited that Andy will be home with Casey tomorrow. When she spends the day with daddy, she learns a new trick. The previous times Andy spent an entire day with her, he tought her to sit up on her own and to hold her bottle (we are still working on that).
That's all for now...

p.s. - HOLY COW...Casey will be 8 months old SOON!!! Where has the time gone?

Bath and Playtime before Bed
Casey and I met Aunt Jamie for dinner tonight. Casey was really good, but after sitting in her car seat for 45 minutes, she was getting kind of fussy. I really wanted to sit her in a high chair, but they only had one in the entire restaurant and you could see how oily/sticky it looked from across the room! YUCKO!
Here are pictures of Casey after her bath. As you can see, the little stinker can reach the curtains (UGH). We may need to rearrange furniture in her room soon. Also, before bed Casey likes to roll around on our bed for a good 10-20 minutes. She likes to sit up and then fall over onto a pillow. Her latest obsession is trying to grab the wood design on our headboard...check her out up on her own! I didn't help her! It was funny to see her try to get herself up there in footed pajamas (with no traction on her knees or feet)!
The greatest part of my day: I went out to check the mail and met my wonderful neighbor, Mary Ruth. She always comes across the street to talk to Casey. So, Casey reaches her arms out to her. What normally comes next is that Casey will go to someone and then start crying...NOPE...she let her hold her for like 3 minutes and then held her arms out to come back! This is huge progress people!!! As many of you know, Casey smiles at anyone and shows a lot of interest in being held, but then starts to fuss! YAY Casey girl!!!
Christmas in August
Part of an e-mail from my Aunt Ruby:
"I wanted to tell you that a friend of Margie's baby cannot drink similac with iron so they gave me eleven cans of the powder for you. So don't buy any. That should hold her through the end of the time she will not be drinking formula."
Seriously, it is CHRISTMAS in AUGUST!
Ho Ho Ho!
The picture below is of Casey passed out after giving her Uncle Tommy a run for his money today when he baby sat. She is such a stinker...she better learn to be sweet or her great grammy will have to "give her a pinch"!
p.s. - look at all her hair!!!
